The challenge we faced was to create an experiential event for Cadbury that would engage with consumers and allow them to sample a range of products.
We created The Cadbury Christmas Lodge in the heart of London's Regent Street on West End VIP day. This is a unique day that allows both Oxford Street and Regent Street to be traffic free and attracts in the region of 2 million visitors.
The experience allowed shoppers to enter The Cadbury Christmas Lodge and sample a steaming cup of Cadbury Hot Chocolate and other Cadbury goodies. A large inflatable Cadbury chocolate dome was used to house a hot sampling bar as well as having Santa and his Elves there for the children to have a complimentary branded photo.
Outside we had a log seating area where shoppers could relax and listen to the carol singers. Reindeers pulling a huge sleigh full of presents and a snowman added to the Christmas experience. A light dusting of snow completed the magical scene.
The event proved to be a huge success and we managed to hand out 170,000 samples throughout the day.
