Pigs Are Worth It!

Celebrity TV Chef Brian Turner, has led a Festive Hog Roast experiential marketing event to highlight farmers' campaign for fairer prices by offering hot roast pork rolls to commuters at Waterloo Station.

PSP created the experiential marketing event where consumers could taste a complimentary pork roll whilst our brand ambassdors conveyed a quick campaign message to them.

Pig farmers from across the UK are holding a series of free festive hog roasts to highlight their campaign for fairer prices and the battle to save Britain's pig industry. The festive hog roast campaign celebrates the important role that pork, bacon, sausages, gammon and ham play in a traditional British Christmas, with pork products totally outselling turkey over the festive period.

Brian Turner says: "Who says Christmas is just about Turkey. Pork and pork products are must-haves for a traditional Christmas, whether it's a gammon joint, pork, sausage meat and bacon for Christmas dinner trimmings or roast pork for Boxing Day.

"One of the messages we're really keen to get across is the higher welfare standards on UK farms compared with the rest of Europe. All pork, bacon, sausages and ham produced to these standards carries the Quality Standard Mark on pack. We're calling on consumers to show their support for high welfare standards by looking for the Quality Standard Mark when shopping."
